Lion Frank was born in Montreal, Quebec, Canada. He graduated from Sir George Williams University Montreal with a Bachelor of Business Administration degree and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science. He obtained his JD degree from Pacific Coast University in Long Beach, California following which he attended Northwestern University in Evanston IL, earning a graduate school diploma in Trust Banking.
He is married to Sylvia. They moved from Montreal to California in 1962 where Frank has practiced law in the corporate world and now in private practice as an estate planning, probate and trust attorney.
Frank first became a Lion in 1961 with the Montreal Central Lions Club. Later he joined the Downtown Long Beach Lions Club in 4L-2 and in 1984 he became a Novato 7- Upper Lion.
At the District level Frank is a Past District Governor and has served in different years as District Chaplain. He is currently President of “Lions In Sight” a 501 (C)(3) organization that collects used eyeglasses which after processing they are taken to developing countries by teams of Lions and optometrists who provide eye exams and give the glasses to needy citizens. Frank also serves the organization as legal advisor.
Frank and Sylvia have lived in Novato since 1969 have two children and two grandchildren. Frank is a board member emeritus of Mount St. Joseph – St. Elizabeth, past president of the Church Council of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Novato, and is a member of the State Bar of California and the Marin County Bar Association.
